Dan Leigh
The company carries his daughters' names and his father's. This is how it came to exist.
Dan Leigh grew up in Oakland, California, riding bikes with friends, playing sports, and living in the same home his parents had always owned.
It was the first and only home his parents ever purchased. That house was where his mom cooked dinner every night, where the family gathered for holidays, and where he spent countless hours building things with Legos. It is where his love for building began.
As a young adult, Dan chose to attend San Diego State University, a decision that eventually led him to a job with San Diego-based real estate developer McMillin. It was there that his passion for homebuilding deepened, and where he met the love of his life, Kym.
During this period, he also returned to his alma mater to earn his MBA. After spending several years in McMillin's acquisitions department helping grow the company's portfolio, Dan decided to take the leap and start building communities of his own.
Dan founded Corman Leigh Communities as a young father who envisioned creating communities where he could see his own children playing in the streets. Not only did he want the communities to be filled with families raising their children together, but he wanted each home to be more unique than the traditional tract home.
Dan and his team added details in the design, specialized materials, and upgraded finishes while keeping homes accessible to first time home buyers. Corman Leigh Communities was built on excellence in every detail.
The name Corman is a blend of his daughters' names. Leigh carries forward the legacy of integrity and compassion that Dan's father built the foundation for.

Today, Dan has processed over 10,000 acres of land across residential, industrial, and commercial projects.
